Hemel Cannabis Club Newsletter, May 12th

As part of our plans to increase the reach and influence of our club, we have been collecting email address to create a mailing list. If you would like to be added, you will receive occasional updates about what the club is doing, how we plan to move forward and events and meet-ups across south England.

In case you missed the first one, which contains details of our upcoming picnic in Hemel Hempstead on the 16th of May, please see below.

Hello,

I had planned to send out a newsletter today. It was all fancy with special boxes and stuff. But my computer seems to have eaten it and I was anxious to get some information out to the people whose email addresses I have been collecting at events and meetings.

Thank you for coming to our events, or at least, stopping to have a conversation with one of us long enough to have your email address extracted to sign you up for the cause! If you don't want to be included in our newsletters or emails, which will mainly consist of information about upcoming events and an occasion newsletter, please reply to this with REMOVE or something similar in the title and you won't get anything else from us.

We are holding a picnic starting at 1pm on the 16th of May. The exact location, in the Gadebridge Park area of Hemel Hempstead, will be posted on our Facebook group early in the morning Saturday. ALL ARE WELCOME!!! Please encourage interested friends to come along, and don't be afraid to come alone, other people will be too. It's a friendly group and we passionately want to reach more people.

It will be a much better day if everyone brings along something to share with everyone. Please don't let it stop you from coming if you can't bring anything along, but if you can bring some food, a blanket, some soft drinks or some paper cups and plates, that would be great! I'll post something on the event Facebook page if you want to let people know what you are bringing to prevent overlaps.

We don't condone recreational smoking around children or the Police. We believe the location of the picnic should offer some privacy but we will be open to people approaching us and wanting to know more. We are going to have some music (If you have a portable charger to bring along, that would also be a great help!) if you are part of a group or related organisation that bring along your info/stickers/leaflets. And stay for the clean up if you can, please. A few groups will be heading to the train station after the picnic (ending weather & atmosphere dependant!) so we can sort out some cabs and things if you need one at the end.

I'm going to update the blog page (http://hemelcannabisclub.blogspot.com) tomorrow with all the upcoming events in the local community and in London. If you have an event coming up, please fire me back an email and I'll add your event in. We are happy to promote pro-cannabis events from others groups, we can only fight this battle by pulling together.

I hope the people who joined the protests this week in London have kept safe,

Hemel Cannabis Club
